A Recruitment and Employability programme to help students to secure internships and universities to exceed their student destination targets

Step Ahead’s expertise and experience in Recruitment and Employability means that our programme for universities supports every student to access their chosen career via a menu-driven programme of targeted interventions, including placement into internships for sandwich and extended Masters degrees.

The programme is underpinned by a technology platform that records, monitors and measures activities and outcomes.

Our menu-driven programme includes:

A ‘Passport’ in which students are incentivised to collect stamps as they complete each module of their journey closer to the workplace

Diagnostic exercises and profiling tools help students to understand their skills and key personality traits and which careers they are best suited to

Mentoring – each student has the opportunity to partner with a mentor who is already working in their chosen career or profession

Work experience – both paid and unpaid work placements. Our aim is to enable every student to gain part time/seasonal employment throughout their studies as statistics prove that work experience is key to success in graduate employability

Work shadowing – students have the opportunity to ‘buddy’ their mentor in their work environment

Employability sessions – group and one to one sessions ensure that students are interview and assessment centre-ready

Work skills development workshops – students learn about work ethics and key in-work skills such as Customer Services and Time Management

Introductions to internships for Sandwich Degree and Extended Masters students – Our extensive and well-established employer relationships enable us to secure exclusive internships to be ring-fenced for your students

Employability workflow and reporting tools enabling us to monitor and report outcomes
